As Remarketing Director, you will lead and inspire the remarketing and transport team to succeed in the marketplace, as well as understand and communicate our value proposition.  Establishes remarketing strategy, corporate initiatives, performance targets, programs and training to ensure organizational success.  Acts as a change agent with improving and implementing Lean Process standards. In addition, partnering with IT, Sales and Finance to deliver the best possible customer experience by working on analytics, improving dashboards and workflows by implementing technology and process enhancements.


  • Define optimal customer success targets and key performance measurements (KPIs), forecasting, reporting and performance management programs required to ensure success.
  • Ensure the teams understand the long and short-term strategies, including their specific targets, KPIs and bonus structures.
  • Leverage and build upon the professional remarketing operations team to address the needs of our clients. Identify bottlenecks in the process and develop a strategy to streamline the process.
  • Ability to properly set expectations and delivery timeframes.
  • Takes an active role to increase productivity, leverage resources, enhance workflow and achieve departmental goals.
  • Manage, identify and analyze market and competitive trends that impact the organization.
  • Ensure that SLAs, department standards and metrics are consistently achieved (ie, days to transport, aging, days to sale and maximizing sales proceeds.
  • Ensure internal alignment on account strategy by partnering with the sales organization to develop and execute on account plans and SLAs.
  • Successful hand-off between sales, recovery and remarketing that will lead to successful customer on-boarding.
  • Ensures assets are properly represented and in compliance with legal disclosure, titling and documentation required prior to sell.
  • Make the connection, see trends and patterns that may not be obvious to others.
  • Drive company-wide definition of ideal customer experience.
  • Ensure all SOPs are current, relevant, documented and delivers efficiency and customer value.
  • Participate in CARS strategic leadership planning and customer advisory team meetings.
  • Leads the budgeting, tracks performance, adjusts workforce planning, capital expenses and operating expenses in order to meet or exceed budgeted revenue goals.
  • Compile information from a variety of sources (e.g. portal audits, customer feedback, QA audits, escalations and corporate goals) to determine priorities and ensure alignment.
  • Takes proactive steps to problem-solve and establishes contingency plans to ensure reoccurring issues.
  • Leverages data analytics to optimize customer value and strategic planning.
  • Proactively team with Sales and Account Management to effectively manage the overall client relationship and to upsell additional products and services to the clients.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures concerning customer feedback and processing customer escalations.


Experience & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Finance
  • 5-8 years of related auto industry or remarketing experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing new strategies.
  • Strong organizational leadership through collaboration, trust, change management and team development.
  • Sharp analytical skills, major problem solver and exceptional business acumen.
  • Process mapping with the ability to recognize gaps and make enhancements to drive efficiencies and improve customer experiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that translates into proactive updates to management internally and positive interactions with customers
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
  • Self-starter able to manage a significant workload and balance competing high priority tasks
  • Project Management, including lean process a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
